The Pub
Emotion, Intellect and Biology were sat in the pub. A five or six pint conversation strolled down the same-old, drunken, predictable cul-de-sac.
“I'm harder than both you wimps. I'll have the lot of yers,” bragged Biology, “you just can't escape the fact of us.”
“Rubbish,” countered Emotion, “any action can be changed if you feel the right way about it. You sound angry and that's not even a real emotion just a manifestation of different emotion - frustration usually. You're just a by-product, mate.”
“Well I thought you two abstracts up. Without me you two jokers wouldn't even exist,” wagered Intellect. Intellect had a mouth on her but always used the reasoned argument.
   “Horse crap!” Emotion shouted.
“Who's angry now then! But for once I agree, Emotion,” Biology said, “Abstracts? Emotion's right, that's horse crap. If we're abstracts how come we're sat drinking with you. You're only calling us abstracts because it's your bloody round! You fancy a smack? Get ‘em in you tight self-aggrandiser?”
The pointless, half-joking arguing continued till Emotion did get too, for want of a better word, emotional, and left.
When he got home he stuck on one of his Friends DVDs, series four - The One with Ross' Wedding.

Biology and Intellect were then alone together and onto the shorts.
Soon Biology was feeling more amorous than argumentative. Biology needed to have sex - it was an imperative. When he put the proposition to Intellect in this way it didn't fail to appealed to her sense of the rational.
   He was in!
Intellect didn't have any reason to have sex with Biology but she did have the good sense to make it back at his. So she could leave when she decided.

Biology had disagreed with any form of protection. It went against everything he stood for.

The pregnancy was fraught with agony for Intellect and the baby turned out to be an ugly thing, but Biology did stick by Intellect – which was turn up for the books.
