Developments
Loft Designs continues to provide art via the website and via ebay at a fraction of the commercial value. Jason's images are to be used to head up a new designer outlet this year.
Jason is currently moving to much larger premises in Folkestone where he will open his studio/gallery to all of his clients and ebay customers. He will also be Heading the OOAG (Original Online Artists Group) later this year.
Jason's digital work is also now available through outlets in Brighton/Kent.

About the Artist
Jason was born in East London's Brick Lane in the early 1970's. It is from here in this once poverty stricken area, now a creative haven for artists, that he gets a lot of his creative influences.
The inspiration for Jason's work comes from things that he sees in everyday life, from the simple patterns on our pavements to the buildings and the people that live in them. Jason especially enjoys creating large pieces for open plan living areas and public spaces.
Jason is interested in both Interior Design and Architecture and continually experiments with new concepts to enhance the way we view our space around us. He has no boundaries and can often break common rules in to achieve unique results.

Process of Painting
Jason is well known within the art world for his fantastic textured art pieces. The process used is one that took 15 years to develop and a lot of time and patience.
The process involves crushing Oyster Shells to a fine flake like texture and mixing with Gesso and Glues. This paste is then layered onto the canvas in stages. Colour is added at different stages of drying times and layers to give a unique patternation that is today Jason's trademark.
Jason's textured pieces are almost like volcanic rock and hard to the touch. He feels that his work bridges a gap between the work of paintings and sculpture.
Jason also specializes in back layering works which involves washing and taking back layers of paint to reveal an aged or rugged feel.
This texturing process can take days to achieve and helps the image to change it's appearance depending on the time of day and the light source that is applied.
